Initial phase focuses on researching and modeling energy losses in the geothermal district heating network.
Sensors will be deployed to record temperature and moisture in the ground at selected points in the SWM district heating network.
Results will be integrated into an existing network simulation model. This model will serve as the basis for developing a network control method that takes into account various effects and can regulate the network accordingly.
Goal is to develop software capable of fully automatically controlling and regulating a district heating network.
Impact: efficient grid operation, handle various operating situations and optimize energy use and service life.
