Having higher amounts of ambient CO2 can lead to increased yield in many crops.
This fact can be utilized especially in greenhouses where the amount of CO2 in the environment can be controlled. Where a greenhouse is located close to industries that emit CO2, captured CO2 from the industries can be supplied to the greenhouses resulting in an increased uptake of CO2 by the plant biomass.
Another avenue it to combine heating requirements for greenhouses - if that involves the use of a fossil fuel boiler or heating device - with the use of CO2 emitted from the thermal equipment.
