In cases where industrial CO2 emissions are planned to be fed to greenhouses, the CO2 needs to be brought to the clusters through pipelines. It has been seen that this might not be economical unless the greenhouse is located close to the industry and also unless there are enough greenhouses in a cluster that makes such a CO2 distribution viable.
This has given rise to efforts to explore formations of greenhouse clusters within a small region. Such clusters could have multiple business benefits in the form of supply chain economics etc., but also specifically in the context of using CO2 captured from emissions at nearby industries.
