Low carbon truck and refuelling infrastructure

The Department for Transport, the Office for Low Emission Vehicles and Innovate UK, co-funded the Low Carbon Truck and Refuelling Infrastructure Demonstration Trial, through which £11.3m was provided by Government to support the procurement of low emission Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) technologies and their supporting infrastructure. The funding was made available through a competition initiated by Innovate UK in 2012, which typically covered 50% of the costs of the trial projects, and was paid to participating organisations as grant.
